Franklin Found a Home

Franklin
Franklin. Connecticut Humane Society

This poor boy was abandoned at our door! Franklin is shy, especially at first, he appears to be afraid of other cats. He may be willing to share his home with another cat if it was respectful of his personal space. Franklin is very sweet and loves to be petted and rubbed; however, he can be moody. He does not like to be picked up and needs a family that is willing to accept his personality quirks. Come meet Franklin at Westport branch of the CT Humane Society.

Fiat Has A Family

Fiat
Fiat. Westport Animal Control

Fiat is being fostered by a WASA volunteer.  He is an adorable 10-month-old min pin-chihuahua mix that is a rescue from Bridgeport Animal Control.  Just like a Pedigree commercial, he was sitting at the front of his cage with his head tilted just begging us to take him home.  Fiat is a fun little guy that loves chasing a tennis ball, romping with other small dogs (big dogs can frighten him a bit) and snuggling.  While we don’t know anything about his life before ending up in the shelter, he is not skittish or timid but very curious about everything.  He’s a delight.  For additional information about Fiat, please send an email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call (203)557-0361.

William Has a Forever Family

William
William. Westport Animal Control

William is a 4-year-old shepherd mix that is a rescue from Fairfield Animal Control where he ended up after the death of his owner.  William is being fostered by a WASA volunteer.  He is a calm and easy-going dog that goes with the flow.  He is exceptional with other dogs and people of all ages.  He has a very sweet nature and is quick to give you a paw when you need it.  William has epilepsy and requires daily medication (one pill twice a day in his food).  He’s a great dog to have at your side through thick and thin – and hurricanes.  For additional information about William, please end an email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call (203) 557-0361.

Lilly Has Been Adopted

Lilly
Lilly. Westport Animal Control

WASA has been contacted about helping find a home for Lilly.  She is losing her home as a result of financial hardships for her family.  The information below comes from a rescue coordinator assisting with the home search.  For additional information, please send an email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

Lilly is a lovable 11 year old yellow lab mix. She is extremely friendly, loves to play catch and spend time with the family. She is great with kids and very low maintenance. She will be a welcome addition to anyone looking for an affectionate family friend.  Lilly will do best in a household where she can get moderate activity and exercise and is not left home alone all the time.

Max Has A New Family

Max
Max. Westport Animal Control

It’s safe to say that we (staff and volunteers) are just in love with this handsome boy as will you after meeting him.  Max is a 9-year-old German Shepherd that is another resident of Westport Animal Control (203-341-5076).  As a dog that is gentle, curious, intelligent, affectionate – and just amazing – he is a great ambassador for his breed.  Because Max has not been socialized much with other dogs we are not sure how he would be with another dog in the home but he behaves very well when passing other dogs while walking.  Max was a beloved pet and certainly deserves a loving home at this point in his life.  Please call Westport Animal Control to schedule a time to meet Max the Marvelous.

Diesel Has A New Home

Diesel
Diesel. Westport Animal Control
Diesel is a sweet 6-year lab-pit mix that is currently residing at Westport Animal Control (203-341-5076).  He is such a good boy and greets everyone he meets with a welcoming tail wag and smile.  He would be a great buddy dog for anyone.  He has a charming calm nature and loves hanging out with the staff, volunteers and visitors of Westport Animal Control.  While Diesel does appear to get along well with other dogs, he should be placed in a cat-free home.  Please call Westport Animal Control to schedule a time to meet this fine fellow.

Sweet Lana Has a New Home

Lana
Lana. Westport Animal Control
Lana is a purring machine!  She is a 2 to 3-year-old Abyssinian-mix that is being fostered by a friend of WASA.  She was rescued after being forced to fend for herself outdoors and subsequently attacked by another animal.  She is on the mend, and the vet and techs report that she is one easy patient – no hiss or scratch from this sweet girl.  She wants to be in your lap, in your house and in your life.  She is beautiful and so affectionate and will certainly provide you with years of wonderful companionship.  For additional information about Lana, please email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

Olive Found A Home

Olive
Olive. Westport Animal Control
Olive is a sweetheart of a kitten found in a resident’s yard.  Of course every kitten is cute but Olive’s appeal goes beyond cuteness.  She waits at the front of her cage for someone to take her out and hold her.  Her purring motor starts the moment you open her cage.  She looks at you with her big green eyes as if to say “are you my mama?”  She is very content just to sit in your arms and snuggle in close.  Olive is approximately 6 to 8 weeks of age and will be available for adoption shortly following her vaccinations and kitten-related vet care.  Please email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) for additional information about our lovely kitten Olive.
