Geoffrey Michael Sargeant of Winter Park, Florida, a former Westport resident, died Oct. 19 at home. He was 86.
He was born July 14, 1932 in Port Chester, New York in the same hospital where his wife Juliette was born years later.
Former owner and principal of Insurance Trends, Inc. in Westport, he was a trusted adviser to the Holler and Classic automotive and real estate companies.
Growing up, he was an avid fisherman and racquetball player. Staying in shape was important to him. He also enjoyed photography and lighthouses.
“G” was all about family. Favorite memories include vacations to Hawaii, Cape Cod, family trips to New York for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and especially the trip to Las Vegas when he and Judi eloped.
He is survived by his wife, Juliette “Judi” Holler Sargeant of Winter Park; son, Jeff (Holly) Sargeant, and daughter Mary (Mitch) Sargeant Karlan, both of Connecticut. He was predeceased by their mother, Grace Sargeant. He is also survived by Juliette’s family, including Roger Holler III (Sallye), Dr. Christopher Holler (Danyal) and Jill Holler Rogers (Mike) and their families.
